Zip Tie Bag Helpers
thingiverse
Since Christmas is over, it's time to put up all of the decorations. I will be placing a lot of mine in plastic bags to keep them from being chewed on by pests or collecting too much dust. This way, I can easily reuse the bags as long as they are still in good shape. First, place this piece on the rolled up end of the bag (rounded side facing the bag), and then put a zip tie on it. The groove in the piece provides enough room to insert your cutters and cut the zip tie without damaging the bag when you need to open it back up. I'm confident that these will scale up with ease if you have very large zip ties. Designed in FreeCAD 0.16. Print Settings: Printer: MonoPrice Maker Select V2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 100% Notes: It's so small, I didn't feel it needed to have a lower amount of infill. I also added a little fillet on the inside of the ridge to help ensure that it prints the bridged area better. Printed very quickly and without any raft or support. Try printing one out and making sure it fits your bag and zip tie; they fit mine perfectly.
