Zinogre / Jinouga - Monster Hunter w/ removable tail
thingiverse
Meet Stygian Zinogre, he's quite a sight. Stygian Zinogre is from the popular game series Monster Hunter. In the Japanese versions, he is also known as Jinouga. I started with a model intended for XNALaura found here: https://rough-chrysalis.deviantart.com/art/Zinogre-and-Stygian-Zinogre-XNAlara-710781130. I imported it into Blender, made some edits, created a new pose, and ran it through netfabb. I edited some more in blender, then sliced the model in meshmixer. I included both a high-poly and low-poly version of the model. The low-poly model is smaller. To print, you will need to add supports. For DnD or Pathfinder, you'll need to scale it up to 125% for accurate scale. At 100%, it fits a Gargantuan base well. Since monster size varies in Monster Hunter, it's up to you. The tail pin may need to be scaled down. The Zinogre pictured is scaled at 125%, while the tail pin is at 100%. For a Gargantuan base, scale the base down to 100%. I used Solutech White Pla on the larger model and Dazzle Light white pla on the smaller one. Both models were printed on Alunar M505 with a 0.2mm layer height. I also found some 5th edition stats for various monsters here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/86bl8s/5eochomebrew144_page_monster_hunter_series/?utm_source=reddit-android
