To achieve optimal results, use 5mm material for laser cutting; otherwise, opt for 3D printing. I encountered difficulties using 2.15mm acrylic during scaling. Utilize Netfabb for repairing the second plate before employing OpenScad code to generate a 2D projection (exportable as DXF). The code is: "projection(cut=true) import("Zilla_Play_2.stl);". Credit goes to @sgraber. The DXF version was created through a screenshot of the OpenScad render, followed by Trace Bitmap in Inkscape and exporting as DXF.
