At our school, we utilize numerous IPEVO "Ziggy" brand document cameras. Recently, Mr. Bryant's camera base cracked, and I was unable to locate a replacement. Instead of spending $100 on a new camera, I designed and printed up a new base instead! The original base "ears" were extremely thin plastic, which is why they snapped easily. This new version boasts much thicker ears, requiring a new bolt and nut to attach the arm. I simply used some spares from my collection, but it shouldn't be too challenging to obtain the correct bolt and nut from the hardware store. I employed a locking nylon nut for added stability. NOTE: "Mr. Bryant" does not appear on the .STL file. Feel free to insert your own teacher's name if you prefer! Print Settings: Printer: ANET A8 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Post-Printing: Once printed, simply transfer the metal plates and rubber pad from the old base to the new one. You won't need screws to hold them in place. Mine printed with a perfect friction fit, though you may want to add a bit of hot glue or epoxy to secure them if you feel it's necessary.
