Ziggy and Fuzz

myminifactory

Ziggy is a renowned American comic strip series created by the ingenious Tom Wilson. Ziggy is a small, bald, pants-less, barefoot, and almost featureless character (save for his remarkably large nose). He often appears in just his shirt with no pants on, though the lower half of his torso remains unseen. Ziggy resides in a simple house surrounded by a garden, where he frequently works at an office job, reflecting the absurdities that many readers face daily. Fuzz, the dog, is one of Ziggy's beloved pets. No supports are required for printing this model. If you have the correct filament colors, no painting is necessary. The assembled model stands 140mm tall. Keep in mind that Ziggy is on the heavier side, so despite being relatively short, he appears quite round. Enjoy printing, and always look at the bright side of life! Note: One part features a small built-in support. To my loyal followers: You may have noticed that it's been some time since I posted my last model. I like to release new models at least every two months, but lately, I've been preoccupied with other modeling work. Keep an eye out for a "kickstarter coming soon!" message. No supports are required, but z_hand_left contains some built-in supports to aid with bed adhesion. 2. Use your judgment for brims/rafts. Personally, I didn't use any brims or rafts on any of my pieces. 3. As noted in the intro, Ziggy is quite round and some of the pieces have longer print times than you might initially think. Not an issue; just a heads up. Assembly tips: 1. I used both E6000 sticky craft glue and thick superglue to assemble this model. Each glue has its advantages. 2. As a modeler, I separate most parts. Ziggy's left/right eyes are interchangeable, as is Fuzz's eyes. 3. I had trouble getting the thumb of z_hand_left to stick due to its shape. The surrounding supports are there to aid with bed adhesion and not for support structures as it may seem. They come off very cleanly with some force. 4. Refer to the assembly diagram as well as the uploaded pictures for assembling the model. The model is meant to be glued. Do not hesitate to ask questions; feedback is essential to creating better models.
