If you're lucky enough to have a Ziggo Horizon box with recording capabilities, you know it can get pretty hot inside. The Samsung power supply generates a lot of heat and relies on a forced air system to cool it down. From the bottom, this system sucks in fresh air and blows out the hot air through a fan located on the right side. Since the front and back of the box are roughly level with its surroundings, the only way for new air to enter is from below - specifically from both sides. Unfortunately, my box sits inside a partially enclosed cabinet, which allows the hot air that's blown out on the right side to get sucked back in through the right bottom corner. Only a small amount of fresh air manages to enter from the bottom left. To address this issue and provide my box with more airflow, I designed leg extenders to elevate it slightly. Simply push them firmly onto the short stands until they're just 1 mm away from the box's bottom plate. I created two versions - one with a flat surface and another with a small recess on the bottom for added protection against scratches. If you plan to use these extenders, consider attaching a small patch of adhesive felt to prevent damage to your surfaces. The support material is removable using a tiny screwdriver.
