Zhang Liang (c. 3rd century BC – 186 BC), courtesy name Zifang, was a master strategist and statesman who played a pivotal role in the early Western Han dynasty. Alongside Han Xin and Xiao He, he is renowned as one of the "Three Heroes of the early Han dynasty". Zhang Liang's contributions to the establishment of the Han dynasty were immense, and Emperor Gaozu honored him with the title "Marquis Wencheng of Liu" in recognition of his tireless efforts.
