Zeus reigns supreme as "Father of Gods and men" over the Olympians on Mount Olympus, his authority mirroring that of a father in the ancient Greek family structure. As the god of sky and thunder, Zeus is an integral part of Greek mythology. His name etymologically connects him to Jupiter, with Hellenic influence strengthening their association. This larger-than-life bust (25.4cm tall) showcases Zeus's grandeur. Crafted around 130-150 AD from marble, it was gifted to The British Museum in 1836. This artwork is part of the "Scan The World" project, a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. The goal is to create a vast digital library of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks for public access at no cost. "Scan The World" is an open-source community effort, inviting enthusiasts to contribute interesting items from their surroundings.
