Zesty Nimble breech latch
thingiverse
The breech on my first Zesty Nimble has weakened over time due to excessive use, but I can honestly say it's an awesome product. I'm not affiliated with them, but I'm happy to promote a product that delivers results. Normally, I wouldn't hesitate to spend a few dollars on a new breech, but a family emergency has put me in a tight spot and altered my financial situation for the foreseeable future. As soon as I can, I'll resume supporting the community. In the meantime, I've come up with this handy contraption that keeps the breech securely in place and prevents it from popping out on its own. It's straightforward to attach and fits snugly onto the Nimble itself. The hook piece slides under the latches of the breech, while the eye piece wraps around the drive cable housing and rests against the side of the nimble, ensuring no strain is placed on the drive cable. A little sanding might be necessary for a perfect fit. After one print with the latch installed, it's holding up well and functioning as intended. I've included a close-up photo of it in place, along with another showing it laying down filament smoothly. For those with their Nimble oriented differently, I've provided mirrored versions – although these aren't included in the Fusion 360 file.
