Zerotech Dobby ND Filter Bracket
thingiverse
This is a small bracket designed to hold an ND filter for the Zerotech Dobby. Care must be taken when positioning the bracket to ensure it sits squarely over the lens and wholly within the lens assembly. The best way to do this is by using an impact adhesive, which gives you time to move it into position. Attach a piece of ND filter gel onto the back of the inner frame and trim it to size. That's it! Note: I printed this using PLA at 220 degrees without any problem, but the side walls are thin (about 0.5mm) and need to bond properly. I also tried printing with Colorfabb nGen, but the side wall peeled away. Then, I kept the nozzle temperature high (220 degrees) and the fan at 20%, which seemed to work. Edit: I've added a new STL file called dobby filter2, along with an OpenSCAD file, which is a slightly wider bracket that can accommodate a slide into which the official Zerotech ND filter can be stuck. In my opinion, this is a much better arrangement because the Zerotech filter is far superior to a bit of ND gel, which tends to lose its coating over time. So, if you have the Zerotech ND filter, use dobby filter2.STL. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.4mm nozzle, 0.1mm layers Infill: 20% Notes: PLA at 230 degrees with 50% fan from layer 2 onwards worked well for me.
