ZeroNilZero Sim Racing Cable Management - 8020 - 4040 - T Slot
thingiverse
I've encountered significant challenges in finding an affordable solution for cable management on Thingiverse. Most available designs are geared towards 3D printers, whereas I need something tailored to my Sim Racing setup with its 40mm by 40mm and 8mm T-slot requirements. As a result, I invested several hours watching Fusion 360 tutorials to improve my skills from "incompetent" to merely "unskilled." With this newfound knowledge, I created my own cable management solution that can be printed inexpensively in large quantities and easily swapped out as needed. The 5mm clips are designed for USB cable organization, featuring holes with a 5mm diameter that securely grip thicker cables. However, they can also accommodate larger cables if desired. For managing thicker cables, I prefer to use the hoops, which offer more stability and allow for some movement within the runner – essential for motion sim applications. Still, it ultimately comes down to personal preference; when squeezed, the hoops become quite solid, and with a bit of wiggling, they can be removed. I plan to design additional "clip" attachments that will fit the universal anchor, specifically tailored to hold cable ends, GoPro mounts, or other items. I'm also working on an SFX100-specific solution to keep actuator cable connectors firmly in place.
