Zeroid vs Cube

Zeroid vs Cube

I marveled at Terrahawks, the British Sci-Fi television series, when I was just a kid watching TV, and always longed to have my very own Sergeant Major Zero puppet. Unfortunately, such toys were nowhere to be found in the nearby toy stores. Now, as a big kid, I created one for myself, along with its arch-nemesis Cube. Sometimes I use it as a stress ball on my office desk, and it makes for a great conversation starter. You'll also find an attached model of the cube, so feel free to 3D print as many as you like and stage your own battle! To prevent zeroid from rolling away from my desk, I printed a variant with a flat surface on the bottom. Both round and flat versions are included, so pick any one that suits your taste. I decided to share the design with anyone who shares my passion for the show. If you haven't seen Terrahawks yet, there are some clips available on YouTube - please do check them out! Print Settings: Printer: Zortrax M200 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Notes: To achieve a nice finish, orientate the model so that zeroid's eyes point upwards. This resulted in a smooth face, but a somewhat rough back side due to the difficulty of printing a perfect round ball. Be sure to allow the 3D printer to use plenty of support material for a better finish on the back side.
