Zero Height LM8UU Bearing Holder

This bearing holder for LM8UU bearing is engineered to rest flat on y-carriage with a zero vertical height offset. It comprises two brackets that enclose the bearing from both sides. The precision relies heavily on the accurate alignment of the mounting holes in the y-carriage. I recently obtained a Prusa I3 derivative aluminum frame from a 3D printer vendor in Spain. The machine-drilled y-carriage has drilled holes specified for SC10UU bearings. To accommodate my LM8UU bearings, I created this type of holder. The dimensions of the mounting holes are dx=28mm and dy=21mm. Use four M5 20mm bolts to secure the bearing holder in place. Feel free to adjust the spacing within the OpenSCAD file as needed.
