Zero DSR Motorcycle Brake Lock

Zero DSR Motorcycle Brake Lock

This gadget secures your motorcycle's front brake lever to the throttle handle bar, preventing the bike from rolling away while parked on a hill. Its size is tailored to my 2016 Zero DSR electric motorcycle and brake settings, so measure the throttle diameter and distance between the far side of the throttle and the brake lever carefully to ensure proper function on your bike. On my bike, this distance was approximately 80 mm. There are two versions: one features a helmet strap hook for hanging your helmet, while the other does not. The ring is designed as a handle, allowing you to flex it over the brake lever, pull it back, and then bend it over the throttle. As with any DIY project, use this gadget at your own risk. Only use it when the motorcycle is off or the kill switch is enabled to avoid the bike taking off unexpectedly. Remember that this device only locks the front brake, so make sure to engage other safety measures as well. I found that a 30% infill setting provided sufficient strength while still allowing for flexibility, making it easy to bend over the throttle handle bar.
