Knightmares, officially designated as Humanoid Autonomous Armored Knights, are mechas in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. Developed by Holy Britannian Empire, they were first unveiled during Japan's invasion. Knightmares are nearly always used instead of outdated main battle tanks due to their significant advancements over traditional armor. A Glasgow, remodeled into a Burai, is used by Black Knights and the Japan Liberation Front. Essentially the same as a standard Glasgow, this version boasts distinctive fang-like cheekbones and an oni appearance. Additionally, it features a machine gun mounted in its torso for effective antipersonnel attacks. A custom-built unit piloted by Lelouch has unique red head modules and golden horns reminiscent of samurai helmets. Other variations, like the Sutherland, have different uses: close combat or electronic warfare, offering adaptable military applications. Zero pilots another specialized version with its distinctive look and purpose yet to be fully defined.
