Zero 10X rear fender mudguard spacer
thingiverse
The rear mudguard on the Zero 10X electric scooter hits the tire hard every time it goes over a bump because it sits too close. To fix this, you need to add a spacer under the mount points so the mudguard points up slightly and doesn't hit the tire. This requires four M3 screws: two that are 10mm long and two that are 15mm long. You'll also need four washers, one under each screw. Make sure to tighten the screws well because you want a secure hold. To ensure they don't come loose over time, use blue Loctite 243. The print itself is quite flat, which can make it difficult to remove from the bed. However, if your printer has a soft magnetic bed that you can bend to help with removal, that's highly recommended. For this particular application, PLA works just fine. You can also add a simple but effective single-side support to your print. This is as easy as bending some aluminum into shape and drilling a hole at each end. It may not look like much, but it gets the job done and does its job well.
