ZENS Qi / Spigen Tough Armor Volt - Drop in holder

My car is equipped with a Qi charger, but unfortunately, my iPhone 6s doesn't support Qi technology. To solve this issue, I use the Spigen Tough Armor Volt Case, which fits perfectly on my car's integrated charging plate. I already owned two ZENS charging plates for my old iPhone 5s and wanted to reuse them, so that wasn't a problem. However, lining up the phone and charge plate to achieve the best connection can be a bit fiddly, especially in low-light conditions. Therefore, I came up with a simple design that aligns both devices perfectly, making it easier to connect them even in the dark. The ZENS Qi charger features a bright red and blue LED light, which is too harsh at night, so I designed a small hole to allow just enough light through to indicate that the device is working. For best results, use this design with four self-adhesive silicon non-slip pads on the underside. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15 mm Infill: 20% Notes: Printed on an Ultimaker 2+ with a 0.4 mm nozzle using REAL PLA Silver and Gold filaments, which looks great on my walnut veneer nightstand. The nozzle temperature was set to 195°C, and the heated bed temperature was 30°C, with 3D-LAC spray applied. Design Process After sketching out some ideas by hand, I used digital calipers and a ruler to obtain the necessary measurements, then created the model and STL-file using Autodesk's 123D Design. I used Simplify3D to generate the printer file, although Cura or other slicers should work just as well. The design is optimized for easy printing. Misc. This is my first 3D printed design, as well as my first Thingiverse published creation. While this design may not be applicable to many users due to specific device requirements, it might inspire others to create something similar.
