Zenner MNK Water meter sensor with integrated Wemos D1 mini V3
thingiverse
I used the linked source file as a base and added a housing for the Wemos D1 Mini V3. This creates a very small sensor that fits completely inside the water meter. There it is fixed with 2 small screws. The power supply of the Wemos D1 is done by a cable with a micro USB plug. The cover of the meter is rotatable so that the cable runs directly over the recess provided for it. The cover can be closed in spite of the built-in sensor. I built a reed contact into the bottom part with hot glue. I glued the processor housing with superglue to the housing for the Wemos. For exact adjustment during the gluing process the 2 printed pins are used, alternatively 2 drills can be used. The Wemos D1 uses an ESP8266. This makes it possible to use Tasmota or another firmware to process the data. I also built a sensor for a gas meter with the same hardware. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5792681
