This is a from-scratch sculpt of the Sheika Guidance Stone from The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. This is not an exact copy but I think it keeps the spirit of the original. I made this on a quest to make my own visually working guidance stone and I thought the sculpt deserved its own download.

The Guidance stone in the picture is a project that was made with this model. You'll need a few items to make your own:

Clear printing filament

Transparent paints

an arduino compatible microcontroller

Neopixel (or compatible) LED strips

Start by printing the guidance stone out of clear filament with no bottom layer and no infill. You'll need to drop it down into the build plate until the bottom is flat. Printing it this way will give you a hollow stone with no bottom that you can fill with electronics.

Once it's printed it will need to be smoothed with sandpaper. sand it as smooth as you want, this is a time-consuming step but you can sand it as much or as little as you like.

After sanding the surface of the stone can be painted. You'll need to use transparent paints so light can escape the inside of the stone. I used a mix of blue and black paints to get a color I was happy with. After a basecoat of paint, the accents and feet can be painted with gold paint.

The electronics are composed of an esp32 though any Arduino compatible should work. there's more info in the included Arduino script for how to set that up.
