Zelda Chest (With lights and sound)

Zelda Chest (With lights and sound)

I designed and built this custom chest for Reddit Secret Santa 2017, inspired by the Legend of Zelda games. The metal parts were created using 3D printing technology, while the main body is made from popsicle sticks. I engineered a clever hinge mechanism that utilizes 1.75mm filament threaded through the printed components. To power the light and sound effects, I employed an Attiny85 microcontroller, which is essentially a tiny Arduino board. An old Nintendo DS Lite battery was used to supply the necessary voltage, but any lithium-ion battery will work just as well. If you're interested in replicating this project, you can find the code on my GitHub repository at witnessmenow/attiny85-zelda-chest.
