Zel's Slider top box with catch to hold it closed

myminifactory

This small slider box measures 84x64mm internally and features a clever catch mechanism to keep it securely shut. It prints seamlessly on any well-calibrated printer at a .2 layer height, and I've successfully printed it on both my calibrated Ender 3 and Prusa MK3s. Two files are provided: one standard and one tight. If your printer is perfectly tuned, print the tight version; for most printers, the standard file will suffice. After printing, you'll need to open and close the lid several times to loosen it up, which is essential for the latch mechanism's smooth operation. If you print the standard version but find that the lid won't fit or becomes too stubborn to remove, even after loosening it, use your slicer's scaling feature to incrementally adjust the lid's narrow width by 1/2 percent at a time until you achieve a proper fit. This original design takes inspiration from clocksrping's outstanding slider box, available on MyMiniFactory as reference: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-another-slide-top-box-93705. I created this version to address the need for a secure lid-holding mechanism, and it does just that.
