ZedThing

I wanted a simple auto bed leveling setup and designed an io board to use the Z axis for this purpose. I'd seen some videos on YouTube about it, and thought it wasn't too complicated. Check out the attached image to see what I came up with - it's a neat, compact design that fits in a small space of 24mm x 41mm. I could have made it even smaller, but then soldering 805 SMD components would become a real hassle! Have a look and let me know what you think. And before anyone yells "RIPOFF," I designed this without looking at any commercially available kits - and it's also way cheaper too. Bare boards cost £7.50, and I can do the built board for £20, including postage. You'll need to find a probe and print a mount yourself. The probe is easily found on Ebay for about £5 - look for the PNP NO type LJC18A3-B-Z/BY. I've included a Tee Nut mount for using with V-Slot extrusions like those used in Creality printers. Check out these mounts I made: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3061118, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3008420, and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3001509. The ZedThing is installed on my Ender-3 now and it works like a charm! I'll be using another one with an inductive sensor on the Y axis linear rail conversion I have planned for my Ender-3 too. Schematic uploaded... Probe type is ljc18a3-b-z/by. PCBs are available, just PM me for details.
