Do you too want a Zaunkoenig m2k to stomp on your opponents in games, but are broke and unwilling to pay $350.00 for a tiny mouse? Look no further! Ok yeah, this isn't anywhere near as comfortable (probably... idk), but this mouse is probably kind of crap nowadays and I was probably never going to use it again. This is a very light chassis for the Corsair m65 I created inspired by this weight reduction design: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scMkS6QpYxc&t=2s&ab_channel=boardzy This is the 2nd revision I have done with the "wire frame" type of model. I also printed a new mouse scroll wheel, because the stock wheel is a whopping 8 grams. credit - mattgreece (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5049922) (I took his design and cut it in half so that it would be easier to print... I think...) I do not know if my printer just sucks or if I should use different settings but the hex-shaped end of the mouse wheel didn't fit very well into the slot. You might have to jerry-rig it into place with some hot glue. (i did) I used an Ender 5 pro/plus and cura to generate the gcode. see settings photo. (missing setting (quality) : Layer height: 2mm) The final weight after the weight reduction is 28 grams. This is almost a 100-gram cut from the stock mouse. This is on the extreme end of weight reduction and likewise, the structural integrity is somewhat compromised. However, with a little practice, the mouse is quite usable in intense fps like apex legends. The only other minor downside of doing this is that the stock mouse wire is very stiff and heavy. This could potentially be switched out for a paracord, but I was happy with the progress and stopped here. I may update the frame with different structural support in the future if I find any further problems, but for now, it works great.
