ZARGES GMBH offers the K470 standard range of aluminum cases with non-ribbed side reinforcement, including models #40835, 40677, 40810, 40568, 40849, 40847, and 40848. Custom sizes are available upon request, utilizing common fittings, fasteners, and standard fabrication methods. The range features a standard latch for padlock integration and was designed for use in documentation, packing, and inventories. These containers have been produced since the 1950s for expedition cases and are still widely used across various industries today. They served as the precursor to Pelican cases and are ideal for lightweight transit cases for air transport of equipment. The K470 standard is IP 54 rated, with upgrade options available for UN containment classification and IP65 or IP67 class ratings. The first set includes eight configurations, with more models in ribbed types available in other GRABCAD library files. The model is a visual reference, produced from physically checked and modeled dimensions of case #40565, with Limit Angle MATES for manual lid movement or latch securing within range, as well as handle configurations in up or down positions.
