Zagi Brushless Outrunner Motor Mount

Zagi Brushless Outrunner Motor Mount

This is a one piece motor mount for using an outrunner motor on the original Zagi flying wing. The tail of the wing is sloped about 7 degrees, but this mount keeps the motor level with the base of the wing. After lining up the mount I push it against the back of the wing to see where the three vertical plastic struts hit the wing. I cut a slit in the back of the wing at each location, about 7mm deep. The mount can then slide into these slits before gluing. You also have the option of cutting holes to run a ziptie through from the top of the mount to the bottom for extra security. This has 16mm and 19mm mounting holes for the motor. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 70 percent Notes: I print mine out of PETG. Due to the way this prints it is very important to have good inter-layer adhesion. Otherwise the base plate will break very easily. For this reason I print it very hot. With PETG I am printing at 260 C.
