Our brand new MakerBot Z18 printer was getting an error message right out of the box. In fact, two of our Z18's got the same message. "Warning 48 - Please close the chamber door." The door was obviously closed but the limit switch needed to be pressed in order for the printer to know the door was closed. I called MakerBot support and their solution was to "put tape on it." Seriously! Anyway, this is a very basic part that can slide onto the existing door frame and gives it a little bit of extra reach, enough to actuate the limit switch. Hope it helps others avoid having to put tape on their printer door.
