Z War One: Exodus/Damnation Base Extender
thingiverse
The Z War One: Exodus bases are a little too small and a little too oval shaped for my liking, so I made these base extenders to give the minis a wider, rounder base that looks a lot nicer and stands better. The original bases fit snuggly inside, but as many of them are misshapen, the idea is that you fill in the small remaining gaps with texture paint. If the gap doesn't bother you, you could also just glue them to these bases, and even use different coloured bases for different types of zombies. The crawling minis seem to have slightly larger or more misshapen bases and either need trimming down, or just print these base extenders 2-4mm wider. For "Steve" I had to print it at 23.8 wide. The original Damnation minis also fit in these bases, but their bases are a bit thicker and so stand a little above the rim of these bases. I like to mount my Damnation minis on (GBP) pennies, which are the same size as the Exodus bases and fit nicely inside these base extenders. The special zombies from the Damnation expansions don't fit, as their bases are so much larger. This is based on a design by eekseye. I cut the top off to give it sturdier walls and a flatter top surface, as well as a thicker bottom layer so that it prints better. I then resized it so that the original bases fit snuggly inside.
