Experimental Z tops with 608 bearings are designed to support the z axis lead screw and minimize wobble on the Prusa MK3S, resulting in smoother movement. These experimental parts offer the same amount of z axis movement as the original parts, ensuring that calibration issues do not arise. Two 608 bearings are required for installation. The specifications for these bearings include a 22mm outer diameter, an 8mm inner diameter, and a 7mm thickness. To assemble the Z tops, reuse the four standard bolts from the original parts. If vibration occurs due to the bearings, one potential solution is to place a 8mm long piece of heat shrink over the tip of the lead screw.
