I encountered a few issues with the Z smooth rod getting pulled or shaken out of my Hictop Prusa I3 during printing, which caused the X assembly to shake and ultimately ruined prints. To solve this problem, I created a part that securely holds the M8 rod in place using a screw that clamps the part onto the rod and connects to the motor mounts with existing screw holes. Printer Settings: Printer: Hictop Prusa I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 100 Notes: To ensure the part's strength, I used 100% infill, but I recommend a minimum of 70%. This design was created using tinkercad.
