Z-Stop for Makergear M2
thingiverse
Because I've started experimenting with BuildTak I've noticed that the quality of adhesion to this surface is very dependent on the position of the nozzle relative to the bed, so fine-tuning bed height is a must to get it to work right. Since my previous Z-stop (www.thingiverse.com/thing:254002) wasn't adjustable or tall enough for the E3Dv6 hotend, I had to redesign this part. I've posted 3 versions of different length - the shortest one suits me best. If you're using BuildTak or a similar surface, making fine adjustments is really important - it's worth noting that a 1/8 turn on the knob can make a big difference between sticking too little and sticking too much, but when you get it to work right, this is by far the best surface I've used so far. Instructions This part should print easily without needing any modifications or supports. To assemble this part, simply reverse the orientation of the M2's Z-stop screw. Once in place, use the two nuts to secure it tightly and give yourself enough room for fine tuning the length of your Z-stop without having to remove anything or reposition anything - it's a big convenience once you get used to how to adjust everything properly,
