Z-stabilizer Robo 3D R1
thingiverse
We rip a crucial defect from our prints with these expertly designed z-stabs, optimized for better print quality every time. A collaboration with Robo 3D led to this brilliant fix: a reliable helical coupler that won't wobble during printing sessions. Print your z-stab at 0.2 resolution and be sure the space between the soft rod and stab is less than 1mm wide. Additionally, verify that your z-axis moves downward and upward smoothly without any resistance. Our prototype's inaugural appearance boasts a flawless Stormtrooper print produced at 0.2mm using Simplify 3D, completing its job at 150% speed. Now that you have these precise guidelines, you'll be able to replicate the exact steps we followed in printing these z-stabs and helical couplers. To set up your print properly: Print both parts and fit them with an M8 nut for the top connection. Make sure when you're printing it the M8 hole aligns perfectly at the top position. Printing without supports will give you better results overall.
