Z Sensor Mount For Prometheus V2 Hotend
thingiverse
I'm unable to find a z sensor mount that fits my prometheus V2 hotend, so I decided to make one myself. PLEASE NOTE: This setup works by inserting 25mm M3 screws through the other side of the hot end until just barely visible from the side where the z sensor mount will be attached. Then you can secure them with nuts and tighten. This is the only way to limit the distance between the sensor and the hotend. To shorten the length of the screws, I put two M3 washers on each 25mm screw as seen in the pictures. Make sure to use M3 screws for both sets of holes; they just barely fit through my DC42 IR Sensor. I recommend applying a heat blocker to the back part that touches the hot end. I used a High Temp Copper gasket maker from Permatex, which works well for preventing warping on plastic parts. I printed mine using PolyCarb from Gizmo Dorks at 285c hotend and 110c bed temperature.
