Z rod cap for Anet A6
thingiverse
This Z Axis cap is hollow at the top to let your Z threaded rod extend above your printer frame. I made sure my Z rod had a gap between it and the Z axis stepper motors during assembly, preventing any unwanted artifacts. A pair of these caps ensures you have enough gap for isolation. It's a tight fit, so I added lubricant to the cap and manually turned the Z rods to make sure they turned freely before first use. I brought the Z axis up about halfway on my printer. Then, I loosened and re-tightened the grub screws connecting the z rods to ensure alignment. Make sure you leave a good gap between the Z-stepper motors and the z rods. Printer: Anet A6 Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1 Infill: 30% Notes: It's tight at first, so turn the z rods manually and lubricate before using the stepper motors or your stepper motors may skip.
