Z Probe Servo Mount for MakerFarm Prusa i3v for Auto Bed Leveling (HXT900)
thingiverse
Update: Introduced a longer Z probe for extended hot ends compatibility. This replacement X carriage bracket and switch arm enable you to fit a servo-actuated Z probe on your MakerFarm Prusa i3v printer. The Z probe aids in two aspects; it records the Z home off the glass (rather than the frame) and allows the printer to measure multiple locations, compensating for an uneven bed. These features require a newer version of Marlin firmware. Check instructions for details. Several Z probe solutions exist, but this design was created for enhanced switch concealment under the carriage when not deployed. Note that this part is incompatible with the standard MakerFarm hot end fan shroud; it works with an improved Hexgon cooling system. The bracket and switch arm are designed to fit the affordable, easily accessible Hextronic HXT900 servo. Use the i3v limit switch or the 25g-activation switch for better accuracy. For longer hot ends, you may need a spacer to raise the extruder and hot end off the mounting shelf for adequate clearance. Check out this Z probe in action on the linked video. Instructions are provided for bracket and switch arm installation.
