Z Opto-Flag Holder
thingiverse
To add a Z-Opto-Endstop on my RepRap at Boston's Museum of Science, I opted not to glue the Opto-Endflag and instead used a holder based on Prusa IT2 design. The first Z-homing with this part can be seen in this video: http://youtu.be/zNhn5zM340Q. The Opto-Endstop holder, as well as one with a mirrored arm, are available at these Thingiverse links: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21654 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:266696. To assemble, print the object, create a tin Opto-Endflag from a tin can using tin snips, wrap it with blue masking tape to avoid reflection, line up with the printed part, mark hole locations, drill holes with an M4 bit, fasten flag with two M4 bolts, and attach holder to X-axis with an M3 bolt.
With this file you will be able to print Z Opto-Flag Holder with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Z Opto-Flag Holder.
