Z Motor Mounts (Max Micron and other Prusa i3 clones)

Improved Motor Mounts Enhance Max Micron Printers' Performance. High-quality acrylic mounts initially worked well, but over time the right mount sagged, causing the rod and lead screw to become misaligned with other components. This led to premature wear on Z lead screws due to binding issues. To address these problems, I designed new motor mounts featuring stiffeners and stabilizers that provide better support against the printer frame. An additional hole is included for an extra mounting screw if needed. Installation requires measuring multiple points along the rod's length from the frame center to ensure square alignment with the frame uprights. This approach minimizes direct contact between the mounts and the frame, promoting a more stable printing experience.
