Z Motor Mount for an MGN12 with Pillow Block/Bearing
thingiverse
Initial credit to BLV for the MGN design and additional credit to ballanux for incorporating a pillow block. My Mi3 required one final modification, and this was it. The design prints as two pieces that are then attached to the frame using CA glue and assembled in place. First, screw the base into position, followed by gluing and screwing the wing onto its mounting bracket. Thanks to the isolation of the Z leadscrews from any Z motor shaft movement or bounce, there's no longer a need for flexible couplers. This upgrade is an effortless process for any MGN12 printer build that has used the BLV Z motor mount, as it simply installs in place of the existing design with minimal disassembly required. The project includes SLDPRT and STL files for easy use. I'd appreciate seeing your creations made with this design.
