Z-Light (alpha)
thingiverse
Hi, this is my project Z-light. It's a joystick controller bicycle light that I'm excited to share with you. For more information on how to make it, check out the instructable at https://www.instructables.com/id/Z-light-alpha. I started by printing the first version using PLA material and an 11.5-hour print time with 50% infill. However, I highly recommend using 100% infill for all parts to achieve a more solid finish. If you have access to an enclosed 3D printer, consider using ABS instead of PLA, but be aware that I encountered some issues printing this project with ABS. One crucial thing is to use ABS for the gear parts, as they require it to maintain their shape and function properly. Additionally, don't try to print all parts at once - some have complex shapes that need careful consideration of printing position, support, and brim. Many of these parts require both support and brim, so be patient and take your time when cleaning them up. Remember to remove the support material carefully, as it can be fragile. I wish you happy printing with Z-light! You can also check out a YouTube video about this project at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5hZDuzUvC0.
