Z level checker
thingiverse
This gadget checks if both sides of Z are at equal height. To test, slide it under one side with its base resting on the level surface where the printer sits. Move the Feeler up the shaft until it touches the base of Z near the screws; you might want to press down on the end to prevent any slanting. Once it's in place, tighten the screw and repeat the process for the other side, comparing the heights. With the motors turned off, adjust this setup by turning the right-hand screw with your fingers as needed. After building this device, I concluded that a ruler is simpler to use; feel free to try it if you prefer.
