Z-knob stop for MakerGear M2 dual
thingiverse
This is a revised attempt to create a practical locking mechanism for the MakerGear M2's Z-axis knob. The initial version, located at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:873378, prevents the M2 dual extruder carriage from moving all the way to the left. This updated design keeps clear of the extruder carriage in all positions while maintaining the feature of releasing itself when the Z stage is homed while the lock remains in place. It also features a convenient handle that allows for hand-cranking the Z stage, and the lock handle can be positioned upside-down on the cap. Updated July 22; the knob now has a small overhang at the top, which helps prevent the lever from twisting in the locked position and keeps it secure when used as a hand crank.
