Z-Knob for the Xcarve and ShapeOko

thingiverse

This is a precision-crafted knob designed to seamlessly fit onto the M6 nut that secures the Z Axis on an upgraded Xcarve machine, specifically engineered for use with either the standard lead screw implementation or the ACME screw configuration. In my own experience, I successfully integrated an ACME screw into my ShapeOko2 upgrade, transforming it into a high-performance Xcarve setup. The design of this knurled knob is not overly complex, but I wanted to challenge myself by learning how to create a textured surface in Fusion 360. Fortunately, the first attempt yielded excellent results, and I'm pleased to share my creation with others who may benefit from it. Printed using a .4mm nozzle and standard settings at 10% infill on a Rostock Vmax 2, this knob has been precision-crafted to provide a sturdy and reliable fit for your Xcarve upgrade.
