Update 2014.11.19: Added files (V2) with adjusted dimensions for improved performanceThis design is comprised of three components: a bracket that attaches to the x-axis, replacing traditional wooden hardware, a nut trap that slides freely along the x-axis bracket, and a piece that holds z-rods vertically.Parts are optimized for printing at 0.3mm layer height, with suggested 25% infill and use of heat-resistant materials such as ABS, nylon, or PETInstallation:1. Secure motor shaft with pliers and remove rod from plastic tubing connecting motors to z-rods.2. Lift x-axis and remove z-rods.3. Unscrew t-slot bolts on wood piece with nut trap for z-rods and replace with printed z-iso_bracket.4. Slide z-iso_nut_trap onto nut on z-rod and thread z-rod through slot on z-iso_bracket.5. Repeat step 4 for the second z-rod.6. Reattach z-rods to z-motors using plastic tubing.7. Remove bolt at top of z-axis linear rail, which attaches z-rail to the top of the wood frame.8. Install z-iso_rodfix by threading z-rod through hole and attaching to the wood frame with a bolt removed in step 7.9. Repeat step 8 for the second z-rod.
