A refined and discreet Z-endstop solution for Flyingbear P902 users is presented below, which minimizes vibration and squeaking from the Z screw rod. Use supports judiciously. A single support will suffice, and it can be easily removed from the hole. The layer height is irrelevant; a 0.2mm setting with PLA worked well in my test prints. Two standard screws are replaced by longer ones (M3x16mm) for this setup, which extends through the printer's Z frame and the printed mount. Two additional screws (M3x20mm) are added to secure the endstop switch. An adjustable probe component requires an M3 30-40mm screw. Two usual M4x8mm screws are used to install the t-nuts into the 2020 frame. A spring is necessary in the probe; I temporarily used two nuts until I received my ordered springs. The installation process involves removing the Z nema and its rod connector, unscrewing the brass drive ring from the hotbed frame. Next, slip the printed mount block onto the screw rod and position the nema/rod roughly while securing the original bolts back into the brass drive ring on the outside edge of the printer. A gcode pause can be used to insert the nut inside the 'probe' section during assembly. Although I refined this design, I ultimately decided to switch to a bltouch endstop. Therefore, this design may not see actual use despite being printed and installed. The date of this post is September 17, 2017. It has been discovered that there's a reason leadscrew rods are typically unrestrained at their top end, and using these mounts might inadvertently exacerbate the issue. However, I usually drill out the rod component slightly to allow the leadscrew to make contact with its inner radius without being tightly constrained by the entire mount.
