To set both Z motors to roughly the same height before leveling, follow these steps: 1) Home X axis 2) Turn off stepper motors 3) Position distancers on Z rods 4) Manually lower z axis down 5) Use position menu to move z axis up 6) Home all axes For even more precise adjustment, make a mark on the Z rod connectors and on the base of the Z rods. Sometimes they're off by just one step. After years of having marks on the Z rod connectors, I recommend trying this method first. I only use these blockers occasionally.
