Z carriage for CNC
thingiverse
This is my latest design for a precision-cut Z carriage crafted from sturdy plywood and reinforced with glue, resulting in a robust yet lightweight structure. I opted for LM8UU bearings this time around, but I'm considering upgrading the X axis to utilize beefier rods for added stability. The main file is written in OpenSCAD, making it effortlessly customizable; I've also included a few 3D printed components for your convenience. If you find this design useful for your projects, any feedback or suggestions are more than welcome! P.S. A simple toggle allows you to switch between viewing the 3D model, an individual part, or the laser layout based on your preferences.
