Z Brace raspi cam PTZ mount

thingiverse

This is a PTZ mount for mounting a Raspi camera onto the Z brace of the Wanhao i3 or Monoprice Select printer, providing a pan-tilt-zoom system with an extension arm. This setup allows users to move the camera out of the way and take time-lapse photos from different heights. One potential feature is programming the mount for moving time-lapses, which would be a unique capability. To use this PTZ mount, several components are required: * A Wanhao i3 or Monoprice Select 3D printer * A Z brace mod for the specified printer (available on Thingiverse) * A Raspberry Pi and camera module (available on Amazon and Banggood) * A long Raspi camera ribbon cable (available on Amazon) * Two SG90 servos (available on Banggood) and one micro servo (also available on Banggood) * A variety of M3 screws in different lengths (available on Banggood) Once all the necessary components are acquired, users can print the STL files and assemble the mount. The picture and Blender file provided will serve as a guide for assembly. A challenge arises when connecting the servo cables to the Raspberry Pi. Previously, a Cat 5 cable was used for this purpose; however, there may be more efficient solutions available.
