Z-Bolt Wall Spool Holder (with magnet break and bearings)
thingiverse
This spool holder was designed for Z-Bolt printers with polystyrene 6mm cases. However, you can use it in any printer that has walls by increasing the length of the shaft and M3 screws holding front and rear panels together. Magnets in the front panel and main spool holder implement a magnet break (magnets must be placed so that parts will stick together) that stops spools from spinning every 30 degrees, although you can adjust it further by tightening the last M8 nut holding everything together. This nut is optional, as the magnets will hold the spool in place, but using it provides more control. You'll need these Bill Of Materials: 16 D6 H5 Neodym magnets 2 608ZZ bearings 2 M8 nuts (height ~4mm) ~130mm of M8 shaft (or a M8 screw of the same length) - cut to fit your printer 1 M8 rounded nut (not needed if using an M8 screw instead of a shaft) 2 M8 D24mm washers 4 M3 D9mm washers 4 M3 L17mm screws 4 M3 nuts 1 M8 washer spring Refer to the cut view image for assembly instructions, which are straightforward.
