Z axis stabilising block STL file updated
thingiverse
These make a huge difference to the wobble on my printer. Replaced original blocks with completely integrated blocks, both of the original Print-Rite blocks had cracks in them. New blocks were easy to install, and no fiddling required of the stepper driver. With thanks to thedayowl, and Horror_18_m for their excellent original ideas. Just in case anyone needed them, I have added the chain ends that I made for my setup to the STL's. Note also that there is a small clip in there to prevent any droop of the chain, which could potentially catch on a print. Print Settings Printer: Print-rite DIY Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Comments below are no longer relevant, as both blocks have been integrated into one single block. Single-sided tape is in place, I will probably look to putting two or three 3mm bolts through the block to lock it in place as the tape has a tendency to give way at high temperatures, it's 36 degrees and higher in OZ these days. Original double-sided tape was replaced with completely new blocks.
