Z axis rod and bearing cover Prusa i3 reprap
thingiverse
I noticed that the Z-axis threaded rod bearing kept falling out of its hole in the frame on my RepRap Prusa i3. There was already a small plastic piece covering the Z-axis guide rod in the design, but it didn't prevent the bearing from popping out. I created this part to cover the guide rod while keeping the bearing securely in place. This thing was designed with Tinkercad. Edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/hLhRneaUHUi Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Post-Printing The hole for the threaded rod was initially too tight, causing the Z motion to jam the first time I used it. Using my Swiss Army knife's awl to enlarge the hole slightly solved the problem, and now everything works smoothly.
