Z Axis Restraint for Pangu i3
thingiverse
Reining in wobble at the ends of the Z axis threaded rods can significantly decrease forces transferred down the X axis to the print head via oscillation. Coupled with other stabilizing measures, thing 1077863 makes it possible to nearly eradicate Z axis vibration altogether. Taking cue from design thing 9864, this new constraint addresses wobble on the Pangu i3 model, a variant of Prusa i3 offered by rp3d.com. Pangu i3 features Z axis smooth rods perfectly aligned with its laser-cut frame and a lid sealed by M3 bolts. In place of that top cap, this retrained design tightens onto 6mm threaded rod just above the laser-cut framework using an integrated 626 bearing. For best fitment into that bearing, secure a piece of shrink wrap around the threaded rod. Users can access and modify the supplied scad file to adapt this concept to suit their individual printing needs. Print Settings Rafts: - Unnecessary Supports: Yes
